The Florentine Codex

La Historia Universal De Las Cosas De Nueva Espana, Commonly referred to as the Florentine Codex, is an extenstive chronicle of various aspects of Aztec life, including deities, philosophy and the lives of everyday people. The final chapter details the Spanish Conquest and allows historians to view a contemporary chronicle of the Aztec perspective of their defeat at the hands of Cortez.
